PRIVACY POLICY

1. Introduction
This Privacy Policy describes how The CJA Armory LLC (“The CJA Armory,” “we,” “our,” or “us”) collects, uses, discloses, and protects personal information when you visit our website, join The CJA Armory waitlist or Founding Athlete program, use our mobile application, or use related services (collectively, the “Services”). Please read this Policy carefully. By using the Services, you acknowledge that you have read and understood it.
Different features of the Services collect different types of information. The website and waitlist generally collect contact, referral, and website-usage information, while the mobile application may collect athlete account information, video submissions, Body Movement Data, coaching records, and other information described below.
The website and waitlist are intended for individuals age 13 and older. The mobile application may be used by athletes of varying ages. For users under 13, a Parent or Guardian must complete our verifiable parental-consent process before we collect personal information beyond the limited information necessary to obtain that consent.
This Policy does not apply to third-party websites or services linked from the Services. Those are governed by their own privacy policies.
Your use of the Services is also governed by our Terms and Conditions, incorporated here by reference. Capitalized terms used but not defined in this Privacy Policy have the meanings given to them in our Terms and Conditions.
In this Privacy Policy, “you” and “your” mean the individual who accesses or uses the Services and, where applicable, the Parent or Guardian who creates, manages, or permits use of an Account on behalf of a Minor.
2. Personal Information We Collect
We collect personal information about you in three primary ways: information you provide directly, information collected automatically through your use of the Services, and information we receive from third parties.
2.1 Information You Provide
Account and profile information. Your name, profile picture, age-gating information, skill level, gym affiliation, and team name. Parent or Guardian name, email address, and phone number.
Waitlist and Founding Athlete information. If you join our waitlist or participate in our Founding Athlete program, we may collect your email address and information associated with your participation, such as your personal referral link, confirmed referrals, points, completed waitlist actions, and leaderboard position.
Video submissions. Video recordings that you upload for AI Coaching Feedback.
Subscription information. Your selected payment, subscription plan, and any preferences associated with your account.
Communications. Information you provide when contacting us for support or other inquiries.
2.2 Information Collected Automatically
Body Movement Data. AI-derived data extracted from video submissions, including angle measurements, position data, and movement pattern information.
Usage information. Information about how you interact with the Services, including submission history, session data, and app activity.
Device and technical information. Device type, operating system, app version, IP address, and similar technical data.
Website and referral information. When you visit the website, we and our service providers may collect information such as browser type, device information, approximate location derived from an IP address, referral source, pages viewed, waitlist/referral interactions, and similar usage information.
Inferences. AI Coaching Feedback and assessments derived from your video submissions and Body Movement Data, including scores, measurements, progress metrics, and recommended corrections.
2.3 Information from Third Parties
Subscription and billing platforms. We receive subscription status and transaction confirmation from Apple App Store and Google Play in connection with your subscription.
Adult and parental-consent verification. For Accounts requiring parental consent, we use Kids Web Services (KWS) to verify that the person completing the parental-consent process is an adult and to support our verifiable parental-consent process. KWS may collect information directly from the Parent or Guardian for verification. The CJA Armory receives the verification result needed to complete the process.
Website and waitlist service providers. We use service providers that help us operate the website, waitlist, referral and leaderboard functionality, email communications, workflow connections, website hosting, and website traffic and usage analytics.
2.4 Targeted Advertising, Tracking Technologies, Cookies, and Automatic Collection
We, our service providers, and third parties use cookies, pixel tags, web beacons, software development kits (SDKs), and similar tracking technologies to collect usage, device, and session information automatically when you access or use the Services. These technologies help us: (i) enable core functionality such as account login and video upload; (ii) analyze usage patterns and improve the Services; (iii) maintain security and prevent fraud; (iv) personalize your experience within the Services; and (v) deliver targeted or interest-based advertising and measure its effectiveness, including through third-party advertising partners. For users who indicate they are under 13, we limit the use of these technologies to those that support the security and internal operations of the Services, and we do not use these technologies to deliver targeted or interest-based advertising to those users.
You can manage your cookie preferences through your browser settings or device settings. Most browsers allow you to refuse cookies or to alert you when cookies are being placed; however, disabling certain cookies may affect the functionality of the Services.
Some browsers and devices offer opt-out preference signals, such as the Global Privacy Control (GPC), that communicate a preference to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information or its use for targeted advertising. Where we engage in sale, sharing, or targeted advertising and applicable law requires us to treat such a signal as a valid opt-out request, we honor it for the browser or device from which it is received.
3. How We Use Personal Information
We use the personal information we collect for the following purposes:
To provide the Services. Analyzing athlete video, generating AI Coaching Feedback, enabling progress tracking, and managing your account.
To communicate with you. Sending notifications, responding to support inquiries, and providing updates about the Services.
To operate the waitlist and Founding Athlete program. Managing waitlist participation, referral links, confirmed referrals, points, completed actions, leaderboard position, and related communications.
To understand website performance. Measuring website traffic, referral attribution, engagement, and the performance of waitlist and launch-related experiences.
To improve the Services. Analyzing usage patterns, improving platform performance, and developing new features.
To advertise. To deliver, personalize, and measure targeted or interest-based advertising, including through third-party advertising partners. We do not use the personal information of Accounts we know are associated with children under 13 for this purpose.
To train and improve our AI models. We may use personal data to improve the AI models that power our coaching feedback, subject to the consent requirements described in Section 4.
To maintain safety and security. Fraud prevention, security monitoring, and enforcement of our Terms and Conditions.
To comply with legal obligations. To comply with applicable federal and state privacy, consumer-protection, legal-process, and other legal requirements.
We may send you marketing and service-related communications, including account notifications and product updates. You may opt out of non-essential communications at any time by following the unsubscribe instructions in any communication or by contacting us using the information at the end of this Privacy Policy.
4. Body Movement Data
We use AI-powered pose estimation technology to extract angle measurements, position data, and movement pattern information from user video submissions (collectively, “Body Movement Data”). Our system is configured to exclude facial keypoints. We do not collect or use facial geometry, fingerprints, voiceprints, retina or iris scans to identify an individual. Further, we do not use Body Movement Data as a standalone identifier. Body Movement Data reflects athletic movement mechanics; we do not collect medical, diagnostic, or health-condition information, and we do not use Body Movement Data to infer any health condition. For accounts of users under 13, Body Movement Data is used solely for coaching analysis and progress tracking. For accounts of other users, with your separate consent, we may also use Body Movement Data to train and improve our AI models.
Some devices allow you to log in using device-based biometric authentication (such as Face ID or fingerprint). This is performed entirely by your device's operating system; we do not receive, collect, or store any biometric data used for this purpose.
5. Children’s Privacy
Our mobile application may be used by users of varying ages, including children under 13 and Minors ages 13 through 17. The website and waitlist are intended for individuals age 13 and older.
We do not knowingly collect personal information through the website or waitlist from children under 13. If we learn that a child under 13 has provided personal information through the website or waitlist, we will take reasonable steps to delete it. Parents or Guardians may contact us using the information at the end of this Privacy Policy.
5.1 Mobile App Users Under 13
For users of the mobile application who indicate they are under 13, we do not collect personal information beyond what is reasonably necessary to obtain verifiable parental consent. Limited technical information may be processed solely to provide security and support the internal operations of the Services as permitted by COPPA. Before any additional data collection begins, a Parent or Guardian must complete our identity-verified parental-consent process, which uses Kids Web Services (KWS) to verify that the person providing consent is an adult. The account is locked until this is complete.
5.2 Users Ages 13-17
Users ages 13 through 17 may use the Services only with the consent and involvement of a Parent or Guardian, as required by our Terms and Conditions.
5.3 Parental Rights
Parents and Guardians may at any time review, correct, request deletion of their child's personal information, refuse to permit further collection or use of the child's personal information, or withdraw their acceptance or consent, by contacting us using the information at the end of this Privacy Policy.
If we learn that we have collected personal information from a child under the applicable minimum age without the required parental consent, we will take steps to delete that information as soon as possible. Parents or Guardians who believe their child has submitted personal information to us without the required consent may contact us using the information at the end of this Privacy Policy.
6. How We Disclose and “Share” Personal Information
We do not sell personal information. We may “share” personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising.
We disclose personal information in the following ways:
Service providers and vendors. We disclose personal information to vendors who perform services on our behalf. Depending on the part of the Services you use, these may include AI and model providers used to generate coaching feedback, Amazon Web Services (AWS) for cloud hosting and storage, Kids Web Services (KWS) for adult and parental-consent verification, communications providers, website and waitlist technology providers, analytics providers, and other vendors that support the operation, security, and functionality of the Services. These vendors are permitted to use personal information only to perform services for us.
Subscription and billing platforms. Apple App Store, Google Play, and payment processors process subscription payments and provide us with transaction confirmation and subscription status.
Advertising partners. Where enabled, we “share” (as is regulatorily defined) certain information with third-party advertising partners, ad networks, and analytics providers to deliver and measure targeted or interest-based advertising. We do not share the personal information of children under 13 for this purpose.
Legal compliance. We may disclose personal information when required by applicable law, court order, or governmental authority. Where legally permitted, we will notify affected users.
Business transfers. If we are involved in a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, personal information may be transferred as part of that transaction. We will provide notice and ensure continued protection of your information.
User-Initiated Sharing
Users for whom this feature is enabled may choose to share achievement summaries and milestone badges on social media platforms. Any such sharing is initiated by the user and is limited to the user’s own performance data. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of any social media platform to which information is shared.
Deidentified and Aggregated Data
We may disclose information that has been deidentified or aggregated in a manner that cannot reasonably identify you and complies with applicable legal standards. We maintain and use such information only in deidentified form and do not attempt to reidentify it.
7. Data Retention
We retain personal information to fulfill the purposes for which it was collected, consistent with this Privacy Policy and applicable law. We do not retain children's personal information for longer than necessary to fulfill the specific documented purposes for which it was collected.
The following describes our general retention timelines by category:
Uploaded videos are retained in our cloud systems for up to 24 hours following analysis and are then automatically deleted, unless a longer retention period is selected. Users may opt in to 30-day retention; for accounts of children under 13, only the verified Parent or Guardian may opt in to 30-day retention. Coaching records derived from a video (scores, feedback, progress history) are retained until the account is deleted.
Body Movement Data and AI Coaching Feedback are retained for the duration of the active account to enable progress tracking and longitudinal coaching analysis. This data is deleted upon account closure, subject to a brief reactivation period.
Account and profile information is retained for the duration of the active account and deleted upon account closure.
Parental consent records are retained as required to demonstrate compliance with applicable law.
Billing and transaction records are retained as required by applicable tax and financial recordkeeping law.
Waitlist and Founding Athlete information is retained for as long as reasonably necessary to operate the waitlist and Founding Athlete program, communicate with participants, maintain appropriate business records, prevent fraud or abuse, and comply with applicable legal obligations.
When personal information is no longer needed, we delete or deidentify it in accordance with our internal data retention policy.
8. Data Security
We implement and maintain reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect personal information from unauthorized access, use, or disclosure.
No method of electronic transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee the absolute security of your personal information. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for promptly notifying us of any suspected unauthorized access to your account.
9. Your Privacy Rights
Depending on where you reside and whether applicable privacy laws extend to our processing of your personal information, you may have certain rights with respect to personal information we hold about you. To submit a request, contact us using the information at the end of this Privacy Policy. We may need to verify your identity before processing your request, and we will respond within the timeframe required by applicable law.
Access. Request a copy of the personal information we hold about you.
Correction. Request correction of inaccurate personal information.
Deletion. Request deletion of personal information, subject to certain exceptions.
Withdraw consent. Withdraw consent or parental acceptance at any time. For under-13 accounts, withdrawal of core consent will result in account suspension.
Portability. Request your personal information in a machine-readable format.
Opt out of certain processing. Request that we limit or stop certain uses of your personal information, including targeted advertising and, where applicable, AI model training.
Appeals. If we deny your request, you may appeal by contacting us. You may also have the right to submit a complaint to your state Attorney General.
We will not discriminate against you for exercising your privacy rights.
9.1 California Residents and Residents of Certain Other States
If you are a California resident, the California Consumer Privacy Act, as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act (CCPA/CPRA), may provide you with additional rights. Residents of certain other states with comprehensive privacy laws may have similar rights under applicable state law.
Notice at Collection. As required under applicable law, we provide the following notice at collection. The categories of personal information we collect, the sources from which we collect it, the purposes for which we use it, and the categories of third parties to whom we disclose it are described in Sections 2, 3, 6, and 7 of this Privacy Policy.
The following additional disclosures apply to California residents and, where applicable, residents of certain other states:
Right to Opt Out of Sale or Sharing. We do not sell personal information. We may share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising. To opt out, contact us using the information below or use the features in your account.
Right to Limit Use of Sensitive Personal Information. Certain information we process, such as Body Movement Data, may be considered “sensitive personal information” under the CCPA/CPRA and similar laws. We use such information only to provide, maintain, secure, and (where you have given consent) train and improve the AI models that power the Services. We do not use the data of users under 13 to train or improve our AI models, and we use the Body Movement Data of other users for that purpose only with separate opt‑in consent that you may withdraw at any time. We will honor any right to limit such use or to withdraw consent where applicable law provides it.
Right to Non-Discrimination. We will not discriminate against you for exercising your privacy rights.
Under-16 Disclosure. We do not sell or share the personal information of consumers we have actual knowledge are under the age of 16.
Shine the Light. We do not disclose personal information to third parties for their own direct marketing purposes.

10. Third-Party Links
The Services may contain links to third-party websites or services. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of those third parties. This Privacy Policy applies only to personal information collected through the Services. We encourage you to review the privacy policies of any third-party sites you visit.
11. Updates to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices, applicable law, or other considerations. If we make material changes to how we process personal information, we will provide notice as required by applicable law and, where required, obtain renewed parental consent before applying the change.
We will update the effective date at the top of this document.
